Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaka Mababa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mababa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Street Fighting Man. Silva has chosen Vlad the Impaler as his entrance music. Chaka Mababa has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva feints and then cracks Mababa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mababa down.
Mababa looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Silva throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Mababa.
Mababa tries to clinch up.
Silva is looking to chop away at Mababa's legs.
Silva swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Chaka Mababa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mababa looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Silva closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Mababa! Silva dives in looking to finish! Mababa is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Thor Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
