Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanislaw Dziuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin throws a nice looking combination but Dziuk bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A big left from Karelin misses.
Dziuk throws a right and a left that both miss.
Karelin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dziuk to the ground. Karelin is now in Dziuk's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dziuk keeping moving, preventing Karelin from controlling successfully.
Karelin throws a big elbow that misses.
Karelin sitting in guard here, content to control.
Karelin wants to pass the guard but Dziuk is keeping the position.

Karelin is taking a breather. Dziuk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Karelin is looking to advance position but Dziuk won't allow it.
Well, if Karelin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Karelin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dziuk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Karelin.

Karelin stalling away here and it's allowed Dziuk to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Karelin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Karelin wants to pass the guard but Dziuk is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dziuk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Karelin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dziuk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Karelin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dziuk!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karelin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dziuk is looking to escape.

It looks like Stanislaw Dziuk has been cut.
Karelin is landing with some decent strikes but Dziuk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That has opened up Stanislaw Dziuk's cut even more.

Stanislaw Dziuk's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stanislaw Dziuk's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
