Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: W.O.L.V.E.S. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wes Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonzo Harris!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chapman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A shot to the liver by Harris. Beautiful body shot.
Chapman misses with a takedown attempt
and Harris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Wes Chapman has been cut.

Wes Chapman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris throws the left hand but Chapman avoids the punch easily.
Chapman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Chapman rushes Harris and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Chapman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Harris is fighting off a takedown attempt but Chapman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Harris to the mat. Harris regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chapman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harris is just riding it out for now. Chapman eventually gives up the hold.

Chapman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Harris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chapman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Chapman throws a big elbow that misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chapman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chapman has Harris in his guard.

Chapman is looking to sweep but instead, Harris has passed into half guard.
Harris is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chapman!
Chapman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chapman tries to reverse the position but Harris maintains control.
Chapman is squirming around, avoiding Harris's attempts to control the action.

Harris goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Chapman turns into him and now he's in Harris's guard.

Chapman drops back looking for a leg! Harris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harris manages to kick Chapman off! Chapman jumps back into Harris's guard.
Harris has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Chapman has passed into side control.

Harris is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Chapman tries to pass to full mount but Harris defends it.
Chapman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Harris's head.
Harris controlling the position for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chapman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Chapman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chapman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harris defends it nicely.
Chapman throws a series of punches but Harris moves out of range.

Chapman pushes Harris up against the cage in a clinch.

Chapman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chapman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harris manages to avoid it.
Chapman on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Harris scores with a nice strike.

Chapman closes the distance and clinches.
Harris presses Chapman against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chapman regains guard immediately.

Harris would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chapman is on top in guard.

Harris wants to improve his position but Chapman is controlling well.

Chapman is looking for a kimura but Harris is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chapman to get the leverage.

Alonzo Harris has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Harris throws a body punch but Chapman moves out of range.

Harris throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chapman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Harris is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Chapman rather than just go for the knockout.

Chapman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chapman showed some decent athleticism there.

Harris thuds a left hand into Chapman's body.
Harris lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chapman tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Harris throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chapman sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Chapman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Chapman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chapman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harris paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chapman gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Chapman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chapman walks into a stiff left hand from Harris.
Harris thuds his right hand into Chapman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Chapman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harris is fending him off so far but Chapman persists. Nope, Harris circles away and we're back to standing.
Harris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chapman.

Harris cracks Chapman with a good jab.


Jeez, Wes Chapman's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Harris's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chapman under the eye.


Chapman is rocked!
Chapman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily.
Oh Chapman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harris misses with a straight left.
Chapman seems to have got his legs back now.
Harris bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chapman's head backwards.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wes Chapman's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alonzo Harris!
Alonzo Harris decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
