These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Isildor was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.
Isildor keeps the fight on the outside.
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Isildor.
Isildor lands a high kick!

It looks like Vitor Gracie has been cut.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Isildor.
Gracie misses with a combination
and Isildor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gracie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Isildor.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie throws a hook to the side of Isildor's head but Isildor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Isildor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Isildor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gracie takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Isildor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Isildor finish him?
Gracie walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Gracie limp body while Isildor jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
