PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Tuesday's Gone. White comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wanted Dead Or Alive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Walter White has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter White!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.

White shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard.
White distracts James with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
White preventing the sweep.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
White controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
White shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
White fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
White has a takedown stuffed.
Tommy James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter White.
James fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James shoots in and drives through. White sprawls well.
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

White tries to sprawl but James drives through with a takedown into half guard.
James drops an elbow to the side of White's head.
James missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
White keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
James seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
This has been an exciting period of action!
White wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it.

White has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for James. Oh but White has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! James goes limp - he's gone! White jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Walter White!
During a confident post fight interview, Walter White thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
