PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mustafa Guseinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Honey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honey has chosen Cruising in Miami by Bass 305 as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honey looks for the body kick but Guseinov saw that one coming.
Guseinov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Guseinov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Honey is out of range.
Guseinov throws out a loose jab but Honey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Honey walks into a left hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Guseinov. Honey does a little dance to reset his feet.

Honey has managed to clinch.

Honey is trying to trip Guseinov. He has hold of a leg but Guseinov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Honey persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Guseinov enables Honey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Guseinov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Guseinov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Honey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Honey is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Guseinov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Honey gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Guseinov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Honey lets go of the hold and Guseinov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
