Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stones Mahones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Calypso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calypso has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahones looks to land a left hand but Calypso moved out of range nicely.
Calypso scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mahones in his tracks.
Mahones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Calypso.

Calypso throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mahones was covering up waiting for the punch and Calypso finishes the takedown easily into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mahones holds on and takes a little breather.

Mahones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Calypso is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mahones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Calypso unloads with some shots from mount but Mahones bucks and avoids them well.

Calypso throws a big elbow that misses.
Calypso postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mahones is looking to sweep but instead, Calypso has passed into half guard.
Calypso looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mahones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Calypso takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Calypso uses his free foot to push down on Mahones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mahones.

Jack Calypso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mahones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Calypso ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Calypso no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
