Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Morris Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alaskan Assassin!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Assassin sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Assassin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Assassin sprawls well. Assassin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.

Assassin clinches up against the cage.
Johnson looking to stall.
Assassin lands a nice knee to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson tries to pull guard but Assassin holds him up against the cage and eventually Johnson drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Morris Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Assassin lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.
Assassin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Assassin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Assassin working Johnson over with strikes.
Assassin is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Assassin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Assassin is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
Assassin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Assassin pulls his head out easily.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Assassin throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Johnson to regain full guard.

Assassin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Johnson throws up his legs and catches Assassin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Assassin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Johnson! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Morris Johnson!
