Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker comes into the arena with why cant we be friends blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Raymond!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond has his takedown stuffed

and Parker counters by moving into the clinch.
Raymond has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Parker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Parker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Raymond.
Bruce Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Raymond.
Parker stops a takedown attempt from Raymond.
Parker lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Chad Raymond has been cut.

Raymond jumps guard.
Parker throws a big right hand that misses.

Parker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Parker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Parker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Raymond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Parker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Parker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Parker postures up in Raymond's guard and throws a big left but Raymond blocks it.
Parker throws a big right hand that misses.
Parker connects with a couple of short punches.
Raymond keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully.
Raymond trying to keep a closed guard but Parker is proving a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raymond can do anything to dispel that myth.
Parker showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Parker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Raymond's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parker passes into half guard.

Parker seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Raymond is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Bruce Parker!
After winning the bout, Bruce Parker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
