The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kappa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Brown under the eye.
Brown slips a straight right by Kappa.
Brown misses with a hook. Kappa ducked under it nicely.
Brown throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brown swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kappa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Brown motions for Kappa to come forward. Brown throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kappa.

Brown tries to break the clinch but Kappa is controlling the position.

Kappa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brown blocks it with crossed arms.
Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Kappa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.

Brown cracks the inside of Kappa's front leg.
Kappa throws a big shot that misses.
A jab from Brown finds it's way through Kappa's defenses.

The cut above Kirill Brown's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Brown throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like David Kappa has been cut.

Brown tries to land a leg kick but Kappa saw it coming and moves away.

Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kappa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brown takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kirill Brown's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Brown throws a quick inside leg kick.
David Kappa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kappa moves away.
Brown blocks a jab.
Kappa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brown sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Brown looks to throw the jab but Kappa is out of range.

Kappa lands with a cross.
Kappa slips under a jab.
Brown lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That kick from Brown tenderised Kappa's leg. Kappa is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brown throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kappa throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirill Brown dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
