Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson throws a body punch but Dowell moves out of range.
Mac Dowell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Dowell.
Ferguson throws a sloppy head kick and Dowell moves out of range easily.
Dowell slips under a jab.
Dowell connects with a leg kick. Ferguson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ferguson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Dowell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dowell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ferguson.
Dowell scores with a head kick. Ferguson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dowell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ferguson avoids a kick to the body.
Dowell throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Ferguson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Ferguson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dowell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ferguson is working away from the top position though.

Dowell works his way to full guard. Good work.

Dowell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferguson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferguson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ferguson wants to control from the top but Dowell keeps moving.

Ferguson has gone for a leg lock! Dowell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ferguson's guard.
Ferguson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ferguson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dowell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Dowell lands a head kick!

Dowell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ferguson.
Ferguson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dowell.

A punch lands to the side of Ferguson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Dowell connects with a combination that backs up Ferguson into the cage. Dowell lands a flurry of punches that gets past Ferguson's guard. Ferguson is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Dowell bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
