PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel San Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogan Botch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogan Botch told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel San Miguel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rogan Botch!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
San Miguel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Botch throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on San Miguel's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Botch dives in looking to finish as San Miguel flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Botch's strikes! Botch is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! San Miguel's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but San Miguel was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
