Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Larsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Alfonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larsen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alfonso, pushing him back against the cage.
Larsen lands a body punch in the clinch.

Larsen jumps guard and drags Alfonso to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Larsen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee asks Larsen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Larsen prefers to stall for the moment though.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Larsen will probably get the nod.

Larsen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alfonso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Larsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alfonso is just riding it out for now. Larsen eventually gives up the hold.

Larsen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Larsen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Alfonso asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The strikes coming from Alfonso are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Alfonso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Larsen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Alfonso is looking to sinch up a triangle. Larsen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Alfonso's body to avoid the submission. Alfonso has instead reached around Larsen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Alfonso arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
