Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arik Hazard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Iron man. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arik Hazard!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazard is looking to slow Steel down with leg kicks.
Steel keeps the fight on the outside.
Steel avoids the head kick by Hazard.
Hazard lands a nice looking body kick.
Hazard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Steel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hazard sprawls well initially but Steel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Steel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hazard manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hazard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steel is surviving well by controlling Hazard's body position as best he can.
Steel is desperately trying to improve his position but Hazard has a good base and remains in mount.

Hazard looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hazard is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Steel has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Steel tries to lock up and control but Hazard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Steel wants to hold on but Hazard pushes him away.

Hazard is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steel can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hazard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steel is surviving well by controlling Hazard's body position as best he can.

Steel rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Steel moves into full guard.
Hazard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Steel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hazard is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Steel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hazard's back instead.

Steel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hazard has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Steel is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hazard knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hazard for a finish.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Steel takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

With the fighters up against the cage, Steel throws an elbow but misses.
Hazard is breathing heavily.
Hazard tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Steel's elbow.

Steel closes the distance and clinches up with Hazard, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes Hazard against the cage but Hazard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Steel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Steel wants to pass the guard but Hazard is keeping the position.

Hazard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Steel wants to control from the top but Hazard keeps moving.

Steel stands up from guard. Let's bang!

and Steel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hazard won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Steel is pushing down on Hazard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hazard is fighting to maintain full guard but Steel has managed to sneak the leg through.

Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but Hazard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hazard is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hazard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hazard has his feet on Steel's thighs here. He's pushed Steel off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Steel screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
