The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soles is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pieropan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Soles moves out of range as Pieropan strikes.
Pieropan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Larry Soles has been cut.
Soles defending well as Pieropan loads up on a big left hand.
Juberto Pieropan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soles tries to bum rush Pieropan with a series of wild strikes but Pieropan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pieropan lands a right hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Soles is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Soles shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pieropan defends it nicely.
Pieropan finds Soles's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Soles flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Pieropan lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Soles will be OK.

Juberto Pieropan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
