Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Bakunin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bakunin has chosen Russian Nathional Anthem as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakunin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Karelin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bakunin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Karelin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bakunin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Karelin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Karelin is not content to let Bakunin control the position.
Karelin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Karelin tries to get out of the position.
Karelin is trying to control but can't.
Bakunin works his foot free and advances to mount.
Karelin bucks up and throws Bakunin to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Karelin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bakunin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bakunin is looking for a sweep.

Bakunin wants to control but Karelin postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bakunin is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Karelin is staying active.
Bakunin is looking to regain half guard here but Karelin keeps moving and retains side control.
Bakunin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Karelin connects with a decent elbow.
Karelin lands a few punches from side control.
Bakunin tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Karelin cracks Bakunin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bakunin tries to reverse the position but Karelin maintains control.
Bakunin gets back to half guard.
Karelin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bakunin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Bakunin regains full guard. Nicely done.

Karelin wants to pass the guard but Bakunin is keeping the position.

Karelin wants to free his trapped foot but Bakunin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

and Karelin counters with a single leg into guard. Bakunin didn't expect that.

Karelin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bakunin sprawls well initially but Karelin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee warns Bakunin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Karelin lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bakunin wants to hold on but Karelin pushes him away.
Karelin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bakunin is looking to escape.
Karelin looking to finish Bakunin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bakunin!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Karelin tries to control but Bakunin wriggling away.
Karelin prevents Bakunin from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
