Johnson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Brothers Johnson - Get The Funk Out Of My Face. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Johnson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Matthews rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnson's guard! Nice work there by Matthews!
Johnson pulls Matthews in to control the position.
Matthews wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Matthews content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Johnson has locked up a guillotine! Johnson's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Matthews is holding on here and Johnson must be using up a lot of energy. Matthews has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Johnson gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
