Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shacka Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson McCain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shacka Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson McCain!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCain takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
McCain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Khan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Khan lands with an uppercut that bounces McCain off the ropes and back into range.
Khan misses with a body shot.
Khan slips a jab from McCain.
McCain throws a head kick but Khan moves out of range.
Khan jabs at McCain's body.
McCain tries to clinch up.
McCain throws the kick towards the body but Khan avoids it.
Khan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Khan scores with a decent looking hook.
McCain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan.
Khan scores with a nice head shot.
Khan lands a body shot.
Khan lands the left hand.

McCain gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McCain comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Shacka Khan has been cut.

McCain jumps guard.
McCain is looking to stand up but Khan isn't so interested in that idea.
McCain keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.

McCain pulls Khan in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and McCain moves into the clinch.
Khan throws a punch but it's blocked by McCain.

McCain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McCain takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Khan blocks a head kick by McCain.
Good exchange - Khan coming out on top.
Shacka Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCain checks a leg kick.

Khan throws a head kick that misses.

Khan tries to keep at a distance but McCain has taken the fight into the clinch.
Khan swings away with an uppercut that misses.

McCain pulls guard effortlessly.
McCain is trying to control the position but Khan postures up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Khan wants to pass the guard but McCain is keeping the position.
McCain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Khan is one step ahead there.
McCain keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCain is on top in guard.
McCain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khan is keeping the position for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A close round but Tyson McCain will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Shacka Khan's cut.
That's time! Khan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and McCain counters by moving into the clinch.
McCain looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Khan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

McCain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tyson McCain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Khan throws a head kick but McCain moves out of range.
Khan misses with a hook to the body

and McCain holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Khan working aggressively here.
McCain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McCain prevents Khan from breaking the clinch.
Khan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Khan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

McCain successfully pulls guard.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but McCain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McCain is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McCain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Khan wants to control from the top but McCain keeps moving.

McCain is looking for a triangle but Khan pushes his legs off easily.

McCain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McCain seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Khan wants to control from the top but McCain keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shacka Khan.
McCain takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Khan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Khan lands a body shot.
Khan misses with a straight left.
McCain darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McCain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slow jab from Khan misses its intended target.
McCain takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Khan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Khan circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCain misses with a few strikes there.
Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCain manages to avoid it.
Khan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCain.
A looping hook to the body misses from Khan. McCain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Khan throws a leg kick but McCain moved away.

McCain has closed the distance and engaged Khan in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Khan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCain moves away.

Khan swings wildly with an uppercut but McCain uses good head movement to avoid it.

McCain works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
McCain tries to free his leg and advance position but Khan is retaining full guard.
Khan keeping moving, preventing McCain from controlling successfully.
Khan is trying to keep McCain in close.
McCain slips nicely into half guard.

McCain tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Khan.
Khan tries to roll over but McCain keeps him under control.
McCain controlling the action here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Shacka Khan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Khan misses with a body shot

and McCain counters by clinching up.
McCain with an attempt at a knee that misses.

McCain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Khan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Khan misses with a jab to the body
and McCain counters with a body kick that stops Khan in his tracks momentarily.
Tyson McCain is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McCain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Donk. Khan catches McCain right on the button with a cross.
Khan is looking to wear down McCain with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Khan takes a swing at McCain's ribcage but misses.
McCain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Khan connects with a body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Khan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McCain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McCain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCain manages to avoid it.

McCain connects with a leg kick. Khan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Khan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

McCain forces Khan back against the ropes and clinches.
Khan misses with a hook to the ribs.
McCain blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Khan can't find room to land a body shot as McCain controls the action.
McCain tries a knee to the head but Khan blocks it.
McCain throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Khan blocks it with crossed arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

McCain turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McCain manages to end up in side control.

McCain controls the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khan is looking to reverse the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCain trying to control the action but Khan is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Khan looks to move to half guard but instead McCain has passed into mount! Damn!

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyson McCain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got McCain winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
