Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Charles Skarbowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matts Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Charles Skarbowsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matts Serra!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serra misses with a shot to the body
and Skarbowsky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Skarbowsky darts in and clinches Serra up against the cage.
Skarbowsky is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Serra is defending well for now.
Skarbowsky stalling.
The referee calls for Serra to work.
Skarbowsky tries a knee to the head but Serra blocks it.
Serra stalling against the cage.
Serra is trying to push Skarbowsky away but Skarbowsky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Skarbowsky pushes off an throws an elbow but Serra leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Skarbowsky lands an uppercut.
Serra is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Serra stalling in the clinch but Skarbowsky improves position.
Skarbowsky prevents a body shot from Serra.
Skarbowsky misses with a knee strike.

Skarbowsky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Skarbowsky slips under a jab.
Serra looks to score with a jab to the body but Skarbowsky is just out of range.
Skarbowsky is looking to score with low kicks.
Skarbowsky feints and then cracks Serra's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Serra down.
Skarbowsky takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Skarbowsky is looking to clinch but Serra is avoiding it.
Skarbowsky moves out of range as Serra strikes.
Serra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A clash of legs there as Serra blocks the low kick.
A punch combination from Skarbowsky misses.
Skarbowsky tries to clinch but Serra moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Serra drives through with a takedown into Skarbowsky's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Serra stays in close to Skarbowsky's body and controls the position.
Serra advances to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Serra in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Matts Serra has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Skarbowsky tries to land a leg kick but Serra saw it coming and moves away.
Skarbowsky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Serra.

Serra fails with an attempt to clinch.
Skarbowsky is looking to clinch but Serra is avoiding it.
Serra shoots in looking for a takedown. Skarbowsky tries to sprawl out of it but Serra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Skarbowsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Serra throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Skarbowsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Serra tries for a takedown but Skarbowsky sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jean Charles Skarbowsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matts Serra.
Serra throws a right hand that Skarbowsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Skarbowsky also avoids with ease.
Skarbowsky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Serra moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Serra swings for the body but Skarbowsky moves out of range.
Skarbowsky throws the left hand but Serra avoids the punch easily.
Skarbowsky tries to clinch up.

Skarbowsky gets caught napping as Serra dives in and scores a takedown. Skarbowsky manages to retain guard.
Serra wants to control from the top but Skarbowsky keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Serra wants to pass the guard but Skarbowsky is keeping the position.
Serra won't allow Skarbowsky to sweep him here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Serra forces his way into half guard.

Serra is working for a kimura but Skarbowsky is defending it quite comfortably.
Serra wants to pass the guard but Skarbowsky is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Serra content to control rather than advance.
Serra trying to mount his opponent but Skarbowsky defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serra misses with a wild body shot.
Serra checks the leg kick nicely there.
Skarbowsky moves forwards but Serra connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Skarbowsky uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Serra.
Skarbowsky swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Jean Charles Skarbowsky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Skarbowsky tries a head kick but it misses.
Skarbowsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Skarbowsky gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Serra drags the fight down to the ground.
Skarbowsky stopping the sweep attempt from Serra.

Serra is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Skarbowsky frees his head nicely. Oh but Serra has switched to an armbar! Skarbowsky is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
