Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randall Troman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riley has chosen 'So Many People' by Neurosonic as his entrance music. Randall Troman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Markus Riley!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley shoots in for a takedown but Troman shows good takedown defense.

Troman moves into the clinch.
Troman is looking to break free of the clinch but Riley has double underhooks.

Troman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Riley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Riley shoots in looking for a takedown. Troman tries to sprawl out of it but Riley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Troman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by Troman which made him look bad.

Riley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Troman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Troman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Troman tries to get out of the position.

Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Troman is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold.

Troman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riley on the ground.

A short body shot lands from Troman as the two fighters clinch.
Troman unloads a knee to the mid-section. Riley lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Riley has Troman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Troman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Troman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Riley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Riley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Riley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Riley has his foot on Troman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Troman works his way back into a safe position though.
Riley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Crunch! Troman slams his shin into Riley's torso.
Riley tries for a takedown but Troman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Randall Troman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Troman looks to land a body kick but Riley moved away.
A thudding body kick lands there by Troman!
Troman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Troman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Markus Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Troman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Riley. That did some damage!

Riley has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Troman.

Riley jumps guard but Troman stands there with Riley around his waist. Riley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Troman is pressed up against the cage. Riley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Troman down to the mat. Troman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Troman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Riley is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Riley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Troman but Troman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Riley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Riley is keen to just control but Troman is a slippery customer.
Markus Riley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Riley is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Troman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Troman is trying to maintain the position but Riley is very close to passing his half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Troman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
