Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Neely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Wandeco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wandeco has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wandeco throws a series of punches but Neely moves out of range.

Wandeco moves into the clinch.
Wandeco is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Neely is keeping busy.
A nice right hand lands inside from Neely .

Neely tries to stall but Wandeco uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Neely has Wandeco pressed against the cage, preventing Wandeco from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wandeco misses with some punches.
Wandeco blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Neely tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wandeco's elbow.

Wandeco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wandeco pushes Neely away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Neely gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Neely tries to score with some ground and pound. Wandeco controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Wandeco is pushing Neely 's head away, looking to escape. Neely manages to hold on to the position though.

Wandeco lands with a straight right. Neely didn't see that one coming.
Neely swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wandeco, as that shot connected.

It looks like Mike Neely has been cut.
Neely throws a head kick that half lands.
Wandeco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wandeco misses with a hook.
Wandeco bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Wandeco closes the distance and pushes Neely back into the cage.

Wandeco lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Neely backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Wandeco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Neely gets a double leg takedown into Wandeco's guard.
Wandeco wants to stand and escape but Neely is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neely trying to control the position from guard on top but Wandeco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wandeco has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Neely off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neely tries a head kick but it misses.
Neely keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wandeco misses with a straight right.
Neely feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wandeco's calf.
Neely is looking to clinch but Wandeco is avoiding it.
Neely dives in and grabs Wandeco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wandeco pushes down on Neely 's head and hops out.
Neely fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wandeco on the side of the head.

and Wandeco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wandeco scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Neely is rocked!
Mike Neely seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neely takes a swing at Wandeco's ribcage but misses.
Neely 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wandeco under the eye.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Wandeco checks a leg kick.
Wandeco tries to bum rush Neely with a series of wild strikes but Neely uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Neely swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Wandeco lands a left and a right that send Neely crashing to the mat, dazed. Wandeco thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Neely is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wandeco moves into range and clinches up with Neely .

Wandeco manages to break the clinch.

Wandeco cracks Neely with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Neely looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wandeco finish him?

Neely is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Wandeco doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Neely crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Neely 's bad books for that mishap!
