The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dick pushes Munch up against the cage in a clinch.
Munch is working for takedown but Dick is calmly controlling the position for now.

Dick breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dick scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dick clobbers Munch with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Dick gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dick pulls Munch into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Munch throws a strike but Dick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Munch defends it well.
Munch wants to stand back up but Dick manages to pass into side control.

Dick is looking to take a break and control but Munch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dick is trying to ground and pound but Munch uses the momentary lack of control by Dick to regain half guard.

Munch works Dick's body with a nice hook.
Munch shoots in but Dick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Munch misses with a hook. Dick ducked under it nicely.

Dick clinches up with Munch and pushes him back against the cage.
Dick is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Munch to keep the fight standing.
Munch wants to break the clinch but can't.
Munch is looking to take this one to the mat.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Munch. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dick manages to pull guard.

Dick looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Munch has picked Dick up and slammed him! Dick can't keep hold of the triangle and Munch manages to pass to side control!
Dick pushes Munch away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Munch gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Munch cracks Dick with a big right hand but Dick just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dick kicks off Munch and gets to his feet.
Munch lunges at Dick with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dick's hand.
Dick uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Munch.
Munch rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dick counters with a two punch combo.
Dick displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Munch.
Munch lands a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Munch manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dick on his heels. He'll look to pass Dick's guard now, I'm sure.

Munch is sitting in close to Dick's body. Dick has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Munch is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Munch is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Dick.
