Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Sansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabe Sansen!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sansen as he avoids it easily.
Stevenson tries for a takedown but Sansen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Stevenson drives through and clinches with Sansen against the cage.
Sansen stops a takedown attempt from Stevenson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Stevenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sansen wants to break free but Stevenson has control.
Sansen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Stevenson looking to throw knees to the head but Sansen is blocking nicely.
Stevenson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sansens head.

Sansen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sansen feints and as Stevenson raises his hands in defense, Sansen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stevenson controls Sansen momentarily but Sansen frees himself.
Sansen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stevenson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sansen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stevenson.

Sansen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Sansen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stevenson's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Stevenson wants to stand but Sansen is controlling the position.

Stevenson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sansen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

so Sansen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sansen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevenson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sansen is standing up over Stevenson. Stevenson looks to escape but Sansen dives into side control.
Stevenson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Stevenson is working for a kimura but Sansen is defending it quite comfortably.
Stevenson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gabe Sansen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stevenson tries to control but Sansen wriggling away.

Stevenson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Sansen is rocked!
Sansen tries to lock up and control but Stevenson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sansen is still on wobbly legs! Can Stevenson finish him?

Stevenson looking to finish Sansen with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sansen!
Stevenson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sansen's face.

Sansen has given up his back here. Will Stevenson look for the submission or keep pounding away?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Sansen is trying to break free.

Stevenson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Sansen has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Stevenson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Sansen taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Stevenson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
