Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Gallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gallo counters with a three punch combo that has Lambert backing up. Lambert nods at Gallo to acknowledge the strikes.
Lambert shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gallo as he avoids it easily.
Gallo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gallo slaps away a takedown attempt from Lambert, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nick Gallo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Lambert.

Gallo clinches.
Gallo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gallo is looking to break free of the clinch but Lambert has double underhooks.

Lambert has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gallo uses from the top position.

Lambert had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gallo defends it easily.

Gallo wants to stand and escape but Lambert is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Danny Lambert was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lambert fails with a takedown attempt.
Gallo throws a series of punches but Lambert avoids them all with ease.
Gallo looks for the body kick but Lambert saw that one coming.
Gallo throws a push kick but Lambert slaps the foot to one side.
Gallo lands a slapping body shot.

Gallo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Danny Lambert has been cut.
Lambert fails with a takedown attempt.

Lambert gets tackled into the cage by Gallo. Gallo maintains the clinch.

Lambert keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gallo's efforts to push away.
Lambert has Gallo pressed against the cage, preventing Gallo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lambert jumps guard and drags Gallo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gallo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gallo stalks Lambert and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lambert's face. Lambert staggers backwards, shaken.

Gallo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gallo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lambert tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gallo cracks Lambert with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Gallo! Lambert is hurt baaadly! Gallo is firing away with more strikes - Lambert is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
