Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Svetlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itagaki Manabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Itagaki Manabu!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manabu misses with a takedown attempt - Svetlov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Manabu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Svetlov looks to land a combination but Manabu avoids it well.
Manabu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Svetlov throws a right hand that Manabu ducks under and follows up with a left that Manabu also avoids with ease.
Manabu closes the distance and clinches up with Svetlov, looking for a takedown. Manabu pushes Svetlov against the cage but Svetlov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Manabu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Manabu tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Svetlov struggling a bit here.

Manabu tries to move into full mount but can't pass Svetlov's legs.
Manabu trying to control the position but Svetlov is working away.
Svetlov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manabu on the ground.
Svetlov tries to improve position but can't.

Svetlov is trying to buck Manabu off.
Manabu trying to control the action but Svetlov is working from the bottom.
Svetlov wants to control but Manabu postures up.
Svetlov looks to move to half guard but instead Manabu has passed into mount! Damn!
Manabu looking to control but Svetlov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Svetlov tries to lock up and control but Manabu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Svetlov really wants to buck Manabu off and get back to his feet.
Svetlov is squirming around, avoiding Manabu's attempts to control the action.
Manabu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Manabu fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The referee warns Svetlov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Svetlov is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manabu lands a big shot to the head and Svetlov winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
