The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Yay.
Yay bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gutierrez's head.

and Yay counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kartik Yay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yay throws a leg kick but Gutierrez sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Gutierrez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gutierrez.

and Yay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gutierrez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yay connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gutierrez scrambles back to his feet.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Yay knocks Gutierrez out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
