Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edward Louis Iii Severson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogi Barera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severson dodges the punch combination from Barera.

Barera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Severson's waist but Severson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barera off to one side.

Severson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
No joy there for Barera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barera has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Severson.

Severson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Barera is rocked!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barera crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Severson - the referee stops the clock and Barera gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Severson. Barera manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The fighters circle, before Severson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Barera's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Severson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
