The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Abdullah.
Thomas cracks the inside of Abdullah's front leg.
Abdullah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Abdullah somewhat.

George Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zayed Abdullah.
Thomas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Abdullah's calf.

Abdullah has closed the distance and engaged Thomas in a clinch.

Thomas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abdullah shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thomas but Thomas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Abdullah looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thomas lands a big head kick that sends Abdullah tumbling to the mat! Thomas takes a step backwards and waves Abdullah back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Thomas dodges the punch combination from Abdullah.
Look low, kick high! Thomas uses the oldest trick in the book to send Abdullah tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Thomas is absolutely delighted - when Abdullah wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
