PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Kinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Litwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Emerson Kinho has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emerson Kinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Litwin!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Litwin.

Kinho gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Litwin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kinho avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kinho blocks an uppercut.
Kinho scores with a nice hook to the head.


It looks like Robert Litwin has been cut.
Kinho tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Litwin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kinho pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Emerson Kinho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Litwin.

Kinho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kinho moves into range and clinches up with Litwin.
Kinho working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Kinho drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kinho keeping moving, preventing Litwin from controlling successfully.
Kinho wants to stand but Litwin is controlling the position.

Litwin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Litwin stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Kinho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Litwin, pushing him back against the cage.
Litwin has Kinho pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kinho manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kinho jumps guard and drags Litwin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Litwin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kinho manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Litwin has Kinho in his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Litwin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Litwin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kinho doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kinho manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Litwin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kinho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Litwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kinho working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Litwin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kinho escapes and throws Litwin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kinho decides to stand back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Litwin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kinho is defending well.

Kinho wants the takedown. Litwin is fighting it off but Kinho persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Litwin's guard against the cage.
Kinho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kinho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kinho throws a big elbow that misses.
Kinho advances to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kinho is trying to control the action in half guard but Litwin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kinho seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Litwin is not content to let Kinho control the position.

Litwin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kinho pulls his head out easily.
Litwin wants to control but Kinho is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Litwin looks gassed!
Kinho is keen to just control but Litwin is a slippery customer.
Litwin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kinho scores with a couple of nice shots.

Kinho is working for a kimura here but Litwin manages to reverse the position and he's now in Kinho's guard.

Kinho has his foot on Litwin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Litwin works his way back into a safe position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Litwin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Litwin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kinho pushes Litwin up against the cage in a clinch.

Kinho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kinho closes the distance and pushes Litwin back into the cage.

Kinho wants the takedown. Litwin is fighting it off but Kinho persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Litwin's guard against the cage.

Kinho avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kinho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Litwin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kinho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emerson Kinho dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Robert Litwin's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!



Kinho takes the fight into the clinch.
Litwin is looking for a takedown.
Kinho lands a nice uppercut.
Kinho creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kinho goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kinho lands a nice uppercut.
A short right from Kinho.
Kinho lands a left hand.
Kinho lands with a short shot to the head.
Still in the clinch, Kinho scores with a nice short uppercut.
Kinho lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kinho lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Litwin backwards.
Litwin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kinho pulls his leg out and moves away.
Litwin is breathing heavily.

Kinho pushes Litwin up against the cage in a clinch.

Kinho lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Litwin backwards.


That has opened up Robert Litwin's cut even more.
Kinho makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Litwin takes a shot to the head.
Kinho softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kinho.


The cut above Robert Litwin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kinho controlling the action here for a moment.
Litwin wants a takedown.

Kinho lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kinho lands a body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kinho is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Litwin can't fight it off and eventually Kinho manages to take the fight to the floor. Litwin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kinho lands a couple of decent looking shots.


Robert Litwin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Robert Litwin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Emerson Kinho!
