The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Salazar counters by moving into the clinch.
Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salazar smiles and moves away.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Salazar tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salazar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salazar did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Salazar is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Salazar is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
