Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silva Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley throws a push kick but Diaz slaps the foot to one side.
Riley throws an off balance right hand
and Diaz counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Riley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diaz.
Riley should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard.
Riley is looking to stand up but Diaz isn't so interested in that idea.

Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Riley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Diaz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Riley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Riley has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.
Riley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Riley wants to stand but Diaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
