The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vandusa throws a few strikes from the bottom but Jones takes advantage and mounts!

Jones working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Vandusa is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.

Jones gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vandusa escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jones is trying to work for a sweep but Vandusa has mounted him!
Jones is looking to improve his position but Vandusa isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones gets back to half guard.

Jones pushes Vandusa off and gets back to his feet.

Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vandusa to the mat! Vandusa manages to get full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vandusa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Vandusa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones cranks the arm and Vandusa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vandusa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
