Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry has chosen Cara Dillon vs. 2 Devine - Black Is the Colour (Coco & Green Remix) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jake Cameron could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chuck Perry's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Perry!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron throws a left and a right that both miss

and Perry counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Perry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cameron keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cameron wants to stand but Perry is controlling the position.

Perry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Perry pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cameron is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perry looking to sit in guard and control but Cameron gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Perry controlling the position.
Cameron has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Perry is proving hard to escape from.
Perry is controlling Cameron's posture.

Perry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cameron defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cameron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Perry is tightening it up a little... Cameron has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cameron reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cameron taps out! Nice BJJ there by Perry!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Chuck Perry!
Post fight, Chuck Perry stared into the camera and said 'I want to thank Laguna Highwind for the fight, thank you MLC for putting it all together - thank you to my camp and a big thank you to all the fans!'.
