And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peyton Hillis!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hillis throws out a loose jab but Bertholf uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hillis throws a right and a left that Bertholf avoids nicely.
Hillis takes a swing at Bertholf's ribcage but misses.
Bertholf slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bertholf misses with the combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bertholf lands a nice shot that snaps Hillis's head back.


It looks like Peyton Hillis has been cut.
Bertholf takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Arthur Bertholf has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hillis pushes Bertholf up against the cage in a clinch.
Hillis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Hillis struggles to land a body shot inside as Bertholf controls his hands.
Hillis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bertholf or not.
Hillis crunches a lovely knee into Bertholf's ribcage.
Bertholf is looking to control Hillis's arms but Hillis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bertholf has his back to the cage.
Bertholf really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bertholf blocks an elbow strike from Hillis.
Hillis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Hillis lands a knee to the body.
Bertholf is breathing heavily.

Hillis throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Hillis pushes off an throws an elbow but Bertholf leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Hillis lands a nice uppercut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hillis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bertholf is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hillis pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hillis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bertholf wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peyton Hillis dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!


Hillis moves in close and cracks Bertholf with a massive right hand! Bertholf, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Hillis!
