The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Trigger shows good takedown defense.

Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Trigger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Trigger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Trigger has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Jones escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Jones!
Trigger is letting Jones control him for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Josh Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trigger pinned against the cage. Trigger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Trigger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brian Trigger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Trigger is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Trigger has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.
Trigger landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!

Jones tries to hold on but Trigger postures up.

Trigger tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Trigger is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Trigger extends the arm and Jones is forced to tap!
