Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 27 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Veli Schwarzeneg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 18 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ulf Minutsak!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minutsak misses with a head kick.
Minutsak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schwarzeneg.
Schwarzeneg lands with a nice body punch.
Schwarzeneg staying out of range there.
Minutsak scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Schwarzeneg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Minutsak swivels and escapes.

This has been an exciting period of action!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ulf Minutsak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Schwarzeneg closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Minutsak to the mat! Minutsak manages to get full guard.
Minutsak wants to stand and escape but Schwarzeneg is having none of it.
Schwarzeneg wants to get up but he can't break Minutsak's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Minutsak is refusing to be controlled, as Schwarzeneg sits in half guard.
Minutsak wants to improve his position but Schwarzeneg is controlling well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Schwarzeneg looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Schwarzeneg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Minutsak's head.

A close round but Ulf Minutsak will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Schwarzeneg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Minutsak won't be happy with that.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Minutsak can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ground and pound from Schwarzeneg seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's time! Schwarzeneg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I think Minutsak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
