Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Davids!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davids swats away the attempt to clinch by King.
King swings away with a leg kick that misses.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
King throws a head kick but Davids moves out of range.
Davids scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Davids throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davids fails with an attempt to clinch.
King wants to clinch.

King looking to score a takedown here. Davids is defending well but King drives through and ends up in Davids's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davids not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Davids pushes King off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Davids throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Davids tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Davids shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

King shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. King showed some decent athleticism there.
King wants to free his trapped foot but Davids is holding on for dear life with his legs.
King thows a huge punch but Davids dodges it nicely.
King has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

King sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

King goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Davids is on top in guard.
Davids landing some decent shots from guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davids is in close to King's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Davids trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
Davids landing with the ground and pound.
King has momentary wrist control but Davids slips an elbow through the middle.
Davids wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
King wants to stand but Davids is controlling the position.

Davids gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Davids tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. King manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Davids pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Davids lands a big head kick that sends King tumbling to the mat! Davids takes a step backwards and waves King back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Daniel King has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davids drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks King right on the button. King goes down! Davids follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Davids gets the win via TKO!
