Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joshua Heines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Woleman!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woleman works the jab nicely.
Woleman throws a series of punches but Heines moves out of range.
Woleman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Heines pinned against the cage. Heines gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Heines walks into a left hand.
Heines uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woleman.
Woleman misses with a right hand
enabling Heines to counter with a crisp jab.
Woleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Heines circles away.
Woleman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Woleman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Heines to the ground. Woleman is now in Heines's guard.
Woleman with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Woleman wants to pass the guard but Heines is keeping the position.

Woleman throws a big elbow that misses.
Heines avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Woleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Heines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Heines is adopting a defensive guard.
Heines is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woleman is controlling him.

Woleman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Woleman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Woleman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Woleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heines swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Woleman looking to sit in guard and control but Heines gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Heines tries to free his leg and advance position but Woleman is retaining full guard.

Woleman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Heines stands and throws Woleman's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Heines stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Woleman scores with the left hand. Heines knows he should have avoided that one.
Woleman throws a jab but it's blocked by Heines.
Heines chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Woleman can pounce on him.

Woleman cracks Heines with an open hand slap.
Woleman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Heines.
Joshua Heines is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Woleman cracks Heines with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Woleman misses with a wild combination.
Heines stuffs the takedown attempt from Woleman. Woleman gets slowly back to his feet.

Heines throws a looping overhand right but Woleman ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Heines cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Woleman has a takedown stuffed.
Joshua Heines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Woleman.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Heines's corner calls for a 1-2. Heines obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Heines looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Woleman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Heines fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Woleman throws a lazy right hand but Heines sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Woleman throws a push kick but Heines slaps the foot to one side.
Woleman throws an overhand right that lands on Heines's shoulder, as Heines tries to avoid the shot.

Woleman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Heines manages to avoid it.
Woleman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Heines under the eye.

A looping hook to the body misses from Woleman. Heines does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Woleman is defended easily by Heines.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Woleman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Heines jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Woleman is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Heines is keeping busy.

Heines wants to hit a switch here but Woleman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Heines there!
Woleman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Heines can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Woleman wants to control the pace but Heines is squirming around nicely.
Woleman is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Heines is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Woleman throws some wild stikes that Heines manages to avoid easily.
Heines avoids a series of strikes thrown by Woleman.
Woleman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Woleman throws some wild stikes that Heines manages to avoid easily.
Heines might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Woleman controlling the pace for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Woleman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Heines is squirming around, avoiding Woleman's attempts to control the action.
Heines regains half guard.
Joshua Heines has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Heines keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Mark Woleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Woleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
