Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso throws a leg kick but Versmellon sees it coming and moves out of range.
LaRusso lands a jab to the head.
Versmellon throws a front kick that sends LaRusso stumbling back into the ropes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Daniel LaRusso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Daniel LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LaRusso throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

letting Versmellon counter with a right hand.
LaRusso lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

LaRusso throws a left and a right that both miss

and as LaRusso resets, Versmellon pounces with a savage head kick that drops LaRusso to the mat! LaRusso looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!

LaRusso is rocked!
Versmellon connects with a quick right hand that sends LaRusso tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Herbie Versmellon!
