Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jad Bibb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen Jackin It In San Diego as his entrance music. Louis Rodriguez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jad Bibb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Louis Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bibb lands with a right hand.
Rodriguez chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bibb fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bibb takes one to the side of the head.
Jad Bibb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bibb takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rodriguez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodriguez lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bibb fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodriguez avoids it really well and circles away.
Bibb does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Rodriguez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Rodriguez is trying to get an arm triangle but Bibb is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rodriguez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rodriguez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bibb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriguez cracks Bibb with a big right hand but Bibb just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Rodriguez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bibb is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rodriguez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rodriguez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bibb knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rodriguez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rodriguez tries for a kimura but Bibb is defending well.

Rodriguez is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bibb is trying to escape and Rodriguez transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bibb is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rodriguez! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Louis Rodriguez!
Louis Rodriguez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
