Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Greg Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Chaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Chaney!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaney throws a left and a right that both miss

and Dixon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chaney's guard now.
Dixon throwing strikes but missing.
Chaney wants to sweep but no luck.
Dixon trying to control but Chaney is working from the bottom.
Chaney is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Chaney looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Chaney is looking to sweep but instead, Dixon has passed into half guard.

Dixon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chaney doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dixon.

Chaney wants to improve his position but Dixon is controlling well.
Dixon wants to take a breather but Chaney is having none of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dixon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dixon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Greg Dixon wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Chaney tries to lock up and control but Dixon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chaney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dixon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Greg Dixon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chaney.

Dixon has Chaney pressed against the cage, preventing Chaney from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Chaney is looking to break free of the clinch but Dixon has double underhooks.

Dixon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Chaney clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Dixon is trying to stick to Chaney's back but Chaney is turning into Dixon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dixon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chaney.

and Dixon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chaney's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dixon stands and throws Chaney's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dixon is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Chaney's shoulder. That is not cool.

Dixon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Chaney takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dixon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Dixon rushes Chaney and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon blocks an elbow strike from Chaney.
Dixon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chaney can do to turn this around?

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Chaney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chaney is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dixon shoots in looking for a takedown but Chaney manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dixon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Chaney throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dixon.

Chaney is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chaney sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Dixon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chaney has managed to free his arm - good work.

Dixon looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Chaney is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Alex Chaney has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
