Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Bobbick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobbick's entrance music is Indestructable. A fine choice. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duane Bobbick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Stroud!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stroud drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bobbick working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stroud.
Bobbick keeping moving, preventing Stroud from controlling successfully.
Bobbick trying to control the position.
Stroud is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bobbick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Stroud is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stroud tries to free his leg and advance position but Bobbick is retaining full guard.
Stroud is stalling in the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Stroud or perhaps it was just good defense by Bobbick which made him look bad.

Bobbick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stroud has a takedown stuffed.
Bobbick drops his shoulder and cracks Stroud with a huge uppercut! Stroud goes down! Can Bobbick finish him?

It looks like Lee Stroud has been cut.
Bobbick is looking to stand up but Stroud won't let him.

Stroud looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bobbick has picked Stroud up and slammed him! Stroud can't keep hold of the triangle and Bobbick manages to pass to side control!
Bobbick controls the position.

Bobbick decides to stand back up.
Bobbick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stroud moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stroud shoots in looking for a takedown. Bobbick tries to sprawl out of it but Stroud keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bobbick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Duane Bobbick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Stroud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice straight punches there by Bobbick. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bobbick.

Bobbick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bobbick throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stroud tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bobbick swivels and escapes.
Bobbick misses the shot to the body.
Bobbick throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bobbick misses with a straight right.
Bobbick smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bobbick tests Stroud's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bobbick catches Stroud napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Stroud to the canvas!
Stroud is still in real trouble! Can Bobbick finish him?


That has opened up Lee Stroud's cut even more.

Stroud is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Stroud seems to have recovered his senses.
Stroud wants to free his trapped foot but Bobbick is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stroud wants to work for an arm triangle but Bobbick is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bobbick flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Stroud is looking to advance position but Bobbick won't allow it.

Stroud is looking for submissions but instead, Bobbick has regained full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stroud looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Bobbick wants to sweep here but Stroud controlling him for the moment.
Stroud is pushing down on Bobbick's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bobbick is fighting to maintain full guard but Stroud has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bobbick is trying to stand up here but Stroud is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stroud is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bobbick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stroud.

Stroud is looking for a kimura but Bobbick is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stroud to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobbick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bobbick catches Stroud with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stroud ducks straight into an uppercut from Bobbick and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Stroud maanges to regain guard straight away.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bobbick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bobbick stands up over Stroud, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bobbick would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Stroud decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Stroud is tying to control. Bobbick wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bobbick is trying to maintain the position but Stroud is very close to passing his half guard.
Stroud thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bobbick is trying to stand up here but Stroud is controlling him well.
Bobbick is trying to escape back to his feet but Stroud uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stroud is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bobbick is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stroud connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bobbick some visible discomfort.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stroud is working Bobbick over with some ground and pound from side control.
Bobbick tries to bench press Stroud off him but Stroud keeps the position.

Stroud stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bobbick throws a head kick but Stroud moves out of range.
Stroud uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bobbick.
Stroud dodges the punch combination from Bobbick.
A big left from Bobbick misses.
Bobbick lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stroud at a distance.

Stroud fails to land the takedown.
Bobbick throws a looping overhand right but Stroud ducks down to avoid it.
Bobbick misses with a wild combination.
Danga de danga de dang - Bobbick scores with a four punch combination!


The cut above Lee Stroud's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Stroud looks for a takedown but Bobbick sprawls well.
Stroud doesn't manage to clinch there - Bobbick circles away.
Bobbick swinging wilding here.
Bobbick throws an overhand right that lands on Stroud's shoulder, as Stroud tries to avoid the shot.

Stroud ducks under a wild hook from Bobbick.
Bobbick throws a nice looking combination but Stroud bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stroud throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Stroud fails to land the takedown.
Duane Bobbick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Stroud.
Bobbick throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stroud sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Duane Bobbick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bobbick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stroud shoots for a double leg takedown but Bobbick sprawls well. He's pushed Stroud's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stroud tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bobbick paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bobbick tries to bum rush Stroud with a series of wild strikes but Stroud uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bobbick pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Stroud goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bobbick rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Stroud's guard! Nice work there by Bobbick!

Stroud bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bobbick's guard.

Stroud wants to pass the guard but Bobbick is keeping the position.

Stroud is nestled in close to Bobbick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bobbick tries to kick Stroud off but Stroud keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Stroud seems to be looking for submissions.

Stroud is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stroud tries to pass to full mount but Bobbick defends it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lee Stroud has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bobbick is refusing to be controlled, as Stroud sits in half guard.
Stroud not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bobbick wants to get back to his feet.
Lee Stroud has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stroud wants to take a breather but Bobbick is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bobbick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bobbick throws a right hand that Stroud ducks under and follows up with a left that Stroud also avoids with ease.

Stroud wants to clinch up but Bobbick keeps it at a distance.
Bobbick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bobbick lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Stroud misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bobbick lands with a nice body punch.
Duane Bobbick is winning the standup battle so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stroud looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bobbick lands a right hand from hell, dropping Stroud. Bobbick pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duane Bobbick!
