Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kappi Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bateman comes into the arena with 20th century boy blaring out of the sound system. Johnson has chosen as his entrance music. Kappi Bateman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeremy Johnson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bateman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jeremy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Bateman circles away easily
and Bateman counters with a good low kick that Johnson was not able to check.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bateman as he avoids it easily.
Bateman stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Kappi Bateman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Johnson.
Bateman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bateman tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Bateman moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bateman is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bateman looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bateman kicks off Johnson and gets to his feet.

Johnson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bateman sprawling to the canvas. Johnson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bateman hang on?

Oh Bateman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bateman to regain full guard.
Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Bateman felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Johnson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bateman can't hide his disappointment, as Johnson celebrates the victory.
