The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

My has closed the distance and engaged Thompson in a clinch.

My lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

My thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
My tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thompson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
My stalling.

My is looking for a kimura but Thompson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for My to get the leverage.

My takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Janne My hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as My sprawls well. My wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thompson gets slowly back to his feet.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch but My swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

My shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than My was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
