The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kidane darts in and clinches Barnett up against the cage.

Barnett wants to get back to striking at distance but Kidane won't allow it.

Kidane drops Barnett with a big knee straight up the middle! Barnett is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Barnett gets tackled into the cage by Kidane. Kidane maintains the clinch.
Oh Barnett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kidane gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.

After the fight, Kinfe Kidane was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
