Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Flinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Moores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Flinch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wesley Moores!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moores shoots and misses

and Flinch counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flinch.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Flinch's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Flinch throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flinch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Flinch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moores works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Moores slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Moores tries to free his leg and advance position but Flinch is retaining full guard.
Flinch preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Moores stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flinch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Moores looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Flinch is fending him off so far but Moores persists. Nope, Flinch circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Moores.
Robert Flinch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Moores.

and Flinch counters with a shoot takedown. Moores fights it but they end up in guard.

Moores not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Flinch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Moores looking to sit in guard and control but Flinch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Flinch stands up over Moores, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flinch manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Moores shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Flinch defends it nicely.

Flinch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Moores manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Moores is landing with some decent strikes but Flinch is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Flinch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flinch tries to get out of the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Flinch is squirming around, avoiding Moores's attempts to control the action.
Moores might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Flinch kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wesley Moores wasn't active enough on the ground.
Flinch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Wesley Moores showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Robert Flinch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Flinch is staying active underneath Moores, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Moores is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Moores takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Flinch lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moores!
Moores takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Flinch throwing strikes but Moores bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.

Flinch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

I would just about give that final round to Wesley Moores.
I think Moores has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
