Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Soto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alves d'Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying d\'Araujo's choice of entrance music: POWER. Alves d\'Araujo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
d'Araujo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Soto counters with a slapping leg kick.

d'Araujo cracks Soto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Soto shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close round but I would say that Augusto Soto will probably get the nod.

The fighters circle momentarily. d'Araujo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
d'Araujo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Soto circles away quickly and effectively.

d'Araujo throws a front kick aimed at Soto's knee but Soto avoids it well.
Soto misses with a low kick.
Soto swings for the body but d'Araujo moves out of range.

Soto is looking to wear down d'Araujo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
d'Araujo lands a nice shot that snaps Soto's head back.
Soto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but d'Araujo was well out of range. Poor timing from Soto.
d'Araujo throws a lazy right hand but Soto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alves d'Araujo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Donk. Soto catches d'Araujo right on the button with a cross.
Good leg kick by d'Araujo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

d'Araujo lunges at Soto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Soto's hand.

d'Araujo moves away from the strike by Soto.
d'Araujo fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Soto to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Soto looks to clinch but d'Araujo throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Soto taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Alves d'Araujo is the new middleweight champion!
Alves d'Araujo decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
