Lidstrom shoots in but no luck this time.

Fire scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fire in side control lands a decent elbow.
Lidstrom takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lidstrom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fire works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fire scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lidstrom is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Fire can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
