Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maruder Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman has chosen Stary Olsa - Litvin as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Newman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Holmes to the mat! Holmes manages to get full guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newman .

Newman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holmes, pushing him back against the cage.

Holmes is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Newman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Holmes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Newman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sami Holmes wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Newman shoots in looking for a takedown but Holmes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Newman 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Holmes is trying to trip Newman . He has hold of a leg but Newman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Holmes persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Holmes is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Newman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Newman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Holmes has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Holmes!

Well Newman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
