Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meriadoc Brandybuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willy Davis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Meriadoc Brandybuck's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Willy Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Meriadoc Brandybuck!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Brandybuck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brandybuck manages to avoid it.
Brandybuck shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brandybuck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Brandybuck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brandybuck is trying hard to land a takedown here. Davis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Willy Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Meriadoc Brandybuck.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brandybuck is defended easily by Davis.

Brandybuck looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Davis!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Brandybuck goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Davis is on top in guard.
Brandybuck looks gassed!

Brandybuck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brandybuck looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Davis passes into side control.

Davis throws a strike aimed at the side of Brandybuck's head but Brandybuck avoids it well.
Davis controls the position from side control.
Brandybuck is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ground and pound from Davis seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Brandybuck is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brandybuck is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Brandybuck seems a little lost for a moment, as Davis dominates the positioning.

Davis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Brandybuck tries to buck Davis off but Davis is having none of it.

Davis tries to advance to mount but can't.
Davis controlling from side mount.
Davis postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Davis trying to control the position but Brandybuck is working away.

Brandybuck manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davis's best efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brandybuck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Meriadoc Brandybuck will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Davis sends Brandybuck crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Davis is motioning to the referee to let Brandybuck up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Brandybuck is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Davis is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Brandybuck flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Brandybuck is out cold! Davis holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
